Maybe this is strange, but the first movie I ever saw Marilyn in was Niagara. And for the longest time, I thought that Niagara was directed by Hitchcock. I then had Marilyn and Hitchcock paired together in my mind. It wasn't until I started watching more of his films that I realized she wasn't "one of Hitch's leading ladies." That's when I started watching her musicals and loving her performances.


happy birthday (a couple of days late - i´ve been celebrating my own, which i share with you and dear marilyn) and thanks for one more beautiful piece about marilyn.


I've enjoyed the movies that I've seen of hers. I just wish she hadn't died that way.
