Eli Wallach & Gromit

The original is so BOSS. The house mother sneaking booze from every conceivable hidey-hole. The poster of the naked people making the peace sign. Keir Dullea busting up the piano. "it's me, Billy"; the Killer-POV-Cam; and a drunk Margot Kidder talking about turtle scrumping. Boo-ya.

Kim, it's hard to express how much this post got me in the mood for the holidays! But it most certainly did! I share your enthusiasm for the Bob Clark original (http://tinyurl.com/y6897p), and I got a big kick out of your writing about Nikke Finke getting her "nikkers" in a twist over the marketing of the remake. But I had totally forgotten that Andrea Martin had a small role in the movie. Do you remember the one she did, with Eugene Levy and a certain director who would later become known for his comedy work as well, just before Black Christmas? (http://tinyurl.com/y25au8) If I don't get a chance to say it before the Tuesday after next, Scary Christmas!
