Great line to end your tribute! Tura will be missed but not forgotten, that's for sure. Woman really gave a huge amount to the feminist movement, and she also represents the discovery of Bad Girls for a lot of teenage boys; my former self included. Just 100% pure danger that you wanted so bad it hurts. Wait a minute, that's not me as teen, that's me at 40! Viva Tura Satana!

Good on you, Kim!

A very nicely written piece - I think you nailed what makes her important.

I never met Tura, but my girlfriend was the foster daughter of Tura's nephew, so she got to see her during family get-togethers. I've seen some of the home videos of her Christmas and Halloween visits; I always hoped she show up on the occasions that I was there, but no such luck. Eh, I probably just would've fawned and annoyed her with questions about Billy Wilder and Elvis. But by all accounts she was indeed a nice lady. RIP

Well done article. Loved it.
