That Toddling Town--Kim Morgan on 'Ebert & Roeper' This Saturday and Sunday

I'm in Chicago. Right now. And I love it here.
It's a beautiful, real city, filled with down to earth people, historic buildings and bars that stay open until 4 AM. And the cold is actually a refreshing change of pace. Finally, I'm experiencing an honest to god winter!
Make sure to watch this Saturday and Sunday, March 10 and March 11 at various times (check your time at Ebert & Roeper's Station Finder). We're reviewing 300, Beyond the Gates, The Namesake, I Think I Love My Wife, The Host and DVD picks of Casino Royale and my personal choice, Baby Doll (read my review here).
For now, enjoy Muddy Waters (one of the rulers of Chicago's blues scene in the 1950's) singing "Got My Mojo Working." Thank you Chicago!
Whoa, congratulations, Kim!
I miss Ebert so much. His site was my first stop every Friday morning. Hopefully, he'll be back at full strength soon. Have fun. You'll do great!

Awesome, congratulations!
You know I'll be watching, the DVR is already set.
Enjoy Chicago while you are there. Remember if you want to get into a good restaurant just try throwing around the name Abe Frohman.

Fantastic work, Kim. I'd complained pretty loudly about the caliber of E&R guest critics-- especially back when they were courting non-critics like Jay Leno and Harold Ramis to fill the chair-- but things have been much better in the new year (for the most part, anyway) and yours was certainly one of the strongest performances. I hope they have you back and can see Chicago in even more beautiful weather like the kind we had today.

awesome job..you were more interesting and came across more natural than Roeper who I find to be a complete ass when it comes to film critics..he is so generic is pitiful..you and Ebert would make a great team

Caught the last few minutes... enjoyed it so much I searched out your site. Needless to say, I'll be back looking for more! Hey, ever think of wrangling your way onto Henry Rollins' show?? THAT would be a great film critic duo!!

I usually check with Ebert's website before seeing a movie. From this moment forward I will check sunsetgun. You rule!
I love the way you think and you are the very first guest reviewer on that show who seemed professional and you were much better than Roeper.
Please put a search engine on your page so I can find movie reviews.

I always knew you had it in you, I knew you'd knock 'em dead. I'm glad to see you're finally garnering the praise and attention you've deserved all along for your thoughtful and witty insights on movies. I couldn't be happier for you.

I just saw you on Ebert & Roeper and I was impressed with your insights on the films and especially how you were able to hold your own against Roeper's quick wit.
Plus, your outfit was totally cool. The bracelet and ring rocked!
I'll definitely be adding you to my blogroll.

Great job, Kim. I just caught you on the Ebert & Roeper show before heading to bed. Your analysis of movies on tonight's program was succinct, poignant, and informative. Oh and Chicago is an awesome city. Have fun and keep up the good work.
Peace.

I saw you on Ebert & Roeper a few hours ago. Loved you. I love SunsetGun. I always check it for old movies to rent and new movies to see.
(I sort of stopped trusting Ebert when he said the reason he didn't like One Fine Day was because he didn't get any insight into Michelle Pfeiffer character through her job as an architect.)

Way to go, Kim! I have to admit, I thought bringing Harold Ramis on the show was an interesting step, and he's smart as hell, so I didn't care that he wasn't really a critic. But that whole angle quickly devolved into a sideshow. (Kevin Smith? Jay Leno?) But your insights on THE NAMESAKE and, particularly, THE HOST, illustrated pretty clearly that you're in a different class, especially from the host of the program you were on, and you held your own with the likes of frequent substitute co-host A.O. Scott. When Roger comes back, you'd look pretty good sitting in Roeper's chair!

I see my prediction turned out to be correct. The show was excellent!
By the way a Kim Morgan film festival could be Richard Roeper's best ideas ever. I'm just saying...

I've been reading your blog for several months, but was surprised when I saw you on Ebert and Roeper last night. Way to go, that's such an honor. You definitely held your own and then some, even when Roeper (who I sometimes like) was being a bit of a prude and/or dork. You're doing my dream job!

Being a transplanted Chicagoan like many Angelenos, I
normally watch Ebert and Roeper(even without Siskel and now Ebert)Roeper is good, though.
good. Almost missed this one and
wanted to see what was said about
"300". Missed that but saw you and
said d*mn who is that? You are so
hot and down to earth. Of course I looded you up on the Web and wanted to find our your background and astrological sign. Still don't know your sign, but,now that I have read some of your columns, blogs you are "wicked
deep"(your piece on dead musicians
blew me away). Have you been here
before? To say the
least I'm in love and will be reading your stuff! Wish you were my girlfriend.: ) Continued success.
you were great on Ebert and Roeper and definitely have
a heartfelt, genuine point of view tempered, I suspect, by real life
esxperiences. It shows you really love film!! You can write your butt off
too.
