I'm so sad I can barely write about this.
Syd Barrett passed away.
"Piper at the Gates of Dawn?" One of the greats. I know he was troubled, has dropped out for decades and was most likely ready to go early (he was 60) but it's still tragic. He was one my heroes. I'm already reeling over Arthur Lee fighting leukemia, now this.
In honor, watch Syd at his peak.
This may sound corny but man, I really wish you (Syd) were here.

Very sad. Loved Syd.

Syd was wonderful, unique.
I didn't know Arthur Lee was fighting leukemia -- how is he doing?

There's a kind of stink about blue velvet trousers, which Syd will smell no more. Farewell, vegetable man.
We can only hope someone will discover a stash of tapes in the basement of his house.

God I love that pic of Syd. Thanks for this!
I feel like all the great stuff is slipping away.
